President-Elect Obama and his family have the chance to do some
real good for the dog-owning community. Here
are my suggestions for the Obama’s:
-
Adopt a dog from rescue or a
shelter. So many dogs need homes – adoption saves lives -
No
“designer dogs,” please! Find
a good mixed breed dog - Hire a trainer for the dog and the
family. Find a quality certified dog trainer who uses positive
reinforcement training. One who has experience teaching families how to
live with their new dog.
Imagine how influential the adoption of an all-American dog
from a shelter could be – not only would one dog’s life be saved, but the
publicity would help thousands of other dogs waiting for a new family. And to
see the First Family take responsibility and train their dog. What an
opportunity to educate the nation on responsible dog ownership!
Call me, Michelle, I’ll
be happy to help you and your family find a good dog, and help you teach him
(or her) how to be a spectacular First Dog!

I believe the girls in the White House should adopt a Shih Tsu. I’ll e-mail you pics of our dog, Honey Bun.

Aussies are extremely loyal and will fallow you into rooms. they can have different personallities at different times, you could be on the couch and the dog will be there with you watching T.V.!!! They have few health problems. I take my aussie (cash) to hospitals as a therapy dog and even the dog-alergic people don’t have reactions. Very playful and easy to train. long coat but not much shedding, or knotting, and are tolerant to both heat and cold. Even though they have the name “Australian Shepherd” they originate in america and were shipped to Australia to herd livestock. they come in many different colors and alot of them have blue eyes. I highly sugges an Aussie of the Obama Girls
