Pit Bull Sorry, Sarah Palin,THIS is a pit bull. It is not a "soccer mom" with lipstick.

The Pit Bull breed has a hard enough time shedding the stereotype of a vicious and mean dog. Please don't add to the inaccurate generalizations.

Does this Pit Bull terrier look mean? And have you seen the Pit Bull terrier that's a therapy dog — the one rescued from Michael Vick's dog fighting operation?

Mean, huh?

Truth is, the typical Pit Bull is actually a very friendly, loyal dog who loves to be with humans.

Yes, there are some bad Pits out there. Just as there are some bad people out there. But please don't add to the hype that Pits are killing machines in your political speeches.

The dogs are fighting an uphill battle already – they don't need any more references splashed in the media about their ferocity.
