I spent hours trying to get the new Smart Dog University banner changed on this blog. It’s not perfect, but at least I made some progress. It looks better than my plain old vanilla logo that used to be the banner. That’s Tango, my yellow Lab, on the banner by the way.
The picture on this post is of Lily, my black Lab. I don’t use her picture often enough. She’s camera-shy really, which is why I don’t use her very much — I don’t have many really good pictures of her. A very pretty girl, she’s camera shy.
A quick update on the dogs: Lucky continues to live life to the fullest after the drug trial. He stopped the trial drug and was started on the already-approved drug about three weeks ago. We’ve actually seen an improvement in his general attitude and incontinence issues, believe it or not. He’s going strong for a 15 year old dog! Just today he was chasing Tango, biting his ankles, as Tango chased the tennis ball. That’s a terrific thing to see!
Nemo’s cough is gone, and he’s back to his normal self. We still have at least one more blood test to check his liver function. Cross your fingers that everything turns out ok on that.
We should hear the results of the Wisdom Panel (TM) either this week or next week which will tell us what breeds make up Nemo. We’re betting on some sort of Hound and Great Dane. But earlier this week, I swore I saw some Doberman in him, too. I was looking down on his head from above and his skull looked just like a Dobe head. We’ll soon see…
