Tango and I just returned home from our fourth and final weekend workshop of the inaugural class of Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior. The Academy’s dog training program is an intensive course consisting of both course material and in-person training weekends. We started in June of 2007 and just finished up. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it!
I am both excited and proud to announce that Tango played a big role in our successful completion of the course. We had a little celebration at the Academy yesterday with goodies for both the human and for the dog!
Half of our final assessment involved working with our dogs. Tango performed flawlessly, making my job much easier. We put in a lot of time and effort preparing for just this moment – it was a great feeling watching him work together with me — he was having a blast and so was I!
There’s no better feeling than working and having fun with your dog. Woofs to you, Tango!
