If you're crazy about your dogs like I am, you want to get that perfect photo that displays your devotion to and love for your dog. If you're in the Metro DC/Baltimore area, I've got great news for you – I found someone who can do that very thing for you.
Her name is Mary Kate McKenna and she's fantastic. She does amazing wedding and engagement phtography, AND (best of all) she has a special place for dogs – and it shows! I took all four of my dogs (what was I thinking?!) to a local park to let Mary Kate work her magic. It was chaotic, it was hectic, but through it all Mary Kate was so calm and collected. Which helped to calm both Lily and me down after our off-leash visitor.
Take a look at her blog and you can see a few of the pictures she snapped of the dogs. I will be updating the Smart Dog University website with some of those pictures soon!
I had Mary Kate spend a few extra minutes with Tango and me so we could get some special shots. I love all my dogs, but Tango and I have something special. She SO captured that special element between the two of us.
That's really hard to capture in your backyard with a point and shoot. I've been trying to get it for seven years now – it's not easy! I can't wait to get some of those photos up on my wall in my office, as well as on the site.
If you want a dog-loving, phenomenal photographer, check out Mary Kate! My dogs gave her four paws up!

Neat photos. I love the one of the two of you on the bridge. So jealous. I NEED some good photos. Our at-home attempts are hampered by many things, including antsy dogs and an impatient husband. :o)

Yeah, husbands aren’t the best photo takers, are they? I always ask “Take a picture of us, please?” and he’ll oblige by snapping a few, but they’re usually pretty random shots. Sometimes they’re not centered, they’re blurry, or out of focus. It was such fun to work with a professional who had an eye for good stuff. I can’t wait to get some of the pictures up on the site and the blog – they’re really good!! 🙂
