The weather’s getting really nice. I’ve seen lots of people out on walks with their dogs – each enjoying the warm breeze. If you’re hesitating to take your dog for a walk because you get dragged down the sidewalk, I’ve got a potential solution for you that both you and your dog will like. It’s called an Easy Walk Harness and it’s both effective and dog-friendly.
Nemo’s got one and we love it because we can take him for a nice long walk and not have to worry about dislocating an arm! And unlike a prong collar or choke collar, it’s dog-friendly and doesn’t operate on pain or on making the dog uncomfortable.
Tip: Measure your dog (behind the front legs, all the way around his girth/belly) before you go to the store! You can’t necessarily rely on the package to guide you to the correct size…

Why the Easy Walk instead of a Halti type?
Laurie Luck, CPDT says
Jai, thanks for the question. I like the Easy Walk because it’s a harness-type, not liek the Halti that goes over the nose. Too many dogs find the head halters aversive. Also, the Halti isn’t escape-proof: if the dog gets the loop off, he’s loose. If fitted properly, the Gentle Leader and the Easy Walk Harness are safer in that regard.
Thanks,
Laurie
