I’ve taken a pet first aid class and found the information invaluable. You have the chance to practice for what may be a panic situation. The book is a terrific take-away all by itself. I recommend it highly.

Sundown Ridge, Ltd. And Your Dog’s Friend are offering an American Red Cross class on pet first aid for dogs and cats. Using a video, lecture, discussion, and practice, the course covers such topics as:
· Normal breathing, pulse rates, and temperatures
· CPR
· Rescue breathing
· Choking
· Controlled bleeding
· Capturing and restraining a sick or injured pet
· A variety of illnesses and injuries
Sundown Ridge, Ltd. Is an authorized provider of American Red Cross pet first aid classes. The class is taught by Lynne Bettinger, a certified Red Cross instructor. No pets are allowed at the class. Manikins and stuffed animals are used for practice. Each student receives a pet first aid book and a Red Cross card showing that they have attended the class.
Minimum of 6 students; Maximum of 12 students
